Many of us have been locked in our houses, wondering what will happen to us.
When will all of this go back to normality?
Do we deserve this because we have been treating mother earth in the worst way possible?
In the beginning, I thought that being quarantined will be okay. We all need some rest from the city lights, some rest from being too engaged with the world outside.
This quarantined life has only made us too attached to our mobile phone, laptops, and social media.
What happens to people that are used to seeing each other every day?
Facetime, duh! – You would answer. I thought that too.
But facetime does not cover all of the details. No video call ever can replace a hug, a kiss, or a smell.
Quarantined but in love can be a hard time to be living among.
Not playing many roles as Romeo and Juliet, but is used with someone’s presence, can make a huge difference in your mood. This way, missing someone and knowing is not allowed to meet them, can be a little bit stressful.
It does not happen only with couples. People are used to going out every night with friends and doing different kinds of things, and all of a sudden, being stuck at home is an alarming change.
It is challenging to feel this fear of meeting someone because just in case you can be infected, and you can infect the beloved ones. You stay quarantined because you care for your close people.
All of this will come to an end before we know.
Love can not be quarantined
Oh, love can not be isolated. Not at all.
It is funny how some people feel quarantined when falling in love. It is surprising how people react to their relationship and how they create them.
Some of the couples feel relieved being quarantined and having a break from their partners. If this is happening to you, please leave your relationship, it is toxic.
Meanwhile, for others, this quarantine thing is like being in prison; they want to escape it as soon as possible.
Love can not be quarantined, lovers don’t allow it to be so.
If it is a war, a war it is then. We, lovers, will find a way to fight and to see each other, whatever it takes.
Of course, being in love means that you for sure care for one another, but more often makes you do stupid things. And no relationship that is created upon trust, respect, and love is okay to stay quarantined.
Voice messages and video calls will never replace any hug, kiss, or smell.
No device speaks the language of love.
And no quarantine can prison a love story.
